Traditional "Bergisch" Cuisine
Simple and solid dishes made of all that nature provides are offered in the typical “bergische” cuisine. It is best to enjoy these culinary treats in a traditional restaurant.
As a highlight you should try the original "Bergische Kaffeetafel": waffles, sweet bread with raisins, marmalade, sausage and black bread are only examples of all the ingredients typically served along with "bergischem" schnapps and coffee from the "Dröppelmina", a three-legged coffeepot made of tin.
